About Trumpie Photography

For more than 20 years, Dave Trumpie has been telling his clients’ stories through his original photographs, documenting both public and private moments and turning them in to photographs that convey a message, sell a service or capture a moment in history.

With a portfolio that spans both regional and national clients, Dave Trumpie delivers professional public relations and editorial photographs to suit a broad range of needs. He works with his clients to ensure they receive top quality images that can be used for whatever their purpose may be.

Dave’s photos have appeared in dozens of Michigan publications, as well as the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and USA Today. He has photographed various well-known subjects such as Muhammad Ali, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, actor James Earl Jones, author Salman Rushdie and former Presidents William Clinton and George W. Bush. He’s also taken photos for clients around the globe in such locales as Poland, Australia and the Hawaiian Islands.

Active in the community, Dave served on the board of the BoarsHead Theater, and he volunteers for various organizations in the Lansing area, including American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA and the Komen Race for the Cure. 

Dave lives with his wife, Jen, in an 1890 farmhouse. Their children are Piglet and Sydney, an adopted cat and dog.  They spend their free time on their sailboat, Shooter, on Lake Michigan.
